COVID-19-ERSDEL, the COVID-19 official exposure notification app, is used by the State Emergency Committee of Mongolia and the Ministry of Health of Mongolia. This app uses Exposure Notifications Express technology, which was developed by Apple and Google and is configured by Onom Foundation and the State Emergency Committee Communications and Information Technology Authority Ministry of Health Gerege. COVID-19-ERSDEL can be used anonymously to alert Mongolian citizens who have come within close proximity of someone suffering from the disease. You are helping to slow down the spread of COVID-19 by enabling COVID-19 ERDEL

What COVID-19 ERSDEL does:

Devices with COVID-19-ERSDEL can come in contact and exchange random identifiers via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). If someone reports to their application that they have tested positive for COVID-19, the app may send an alert to inform them that their random identifiers were received. The Exposure Notification System can determine how close two devices are to one another and how long they were at each other when a device is given random identifiers. The other user is notified if the exposure occurred within a timeframe of at least fifteen minutes, and the distance between them was less than six feet.

Google and Apple's Exposure Notifications Framework run in the background, even when COVID-19-ERSDEL is closed. The device's battery will not be drained at the same rate as other apps using Bluetooth or that are running continuously.

How COVID-19-ERSDEL protects your privacy:

Mongolian government takes privacy and confidentiality seriously. Apple' Google''s framework was designed to prevent any correlating personal data or location information with random identifiers exchanged by devices. For COVID-19-ERSDEL to function, the State Emergency Committee and Minsitry of Health don't need or want to know who or whereabouts you live. Your device's BLE can exchange random identifiers if you live close enough to an app user.

All persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 will be sent their laboratory results to the Minsitry of Health. The app does not include this information. Based on the information in the lab report, our staff will follow up with those who were reported positive. All app users will be provided with an individual identifie number (PIN) by COVID-19. To report positive results to the app, you must use this PIN. Falsely reporting positive results could result in false exposure notifications. All app users should feel secure that a COVID-19 exposure received through the app is real.

Exposure notifications are available if you're running the latest Apple or Google OS. This function cannot be enabled until the COVID-19-ERSDEL app has been installed. Apple and Google will remove the exposure notification tool tools from respective operating systems when the pandemic is over.
