What is this app for?

APKMirror Installationer allows you to install.apkm.xapk,.apks bundle files and regular APK files.

A bonus feature has been added to regular APK files. If sideloading fails, you will now be able to see exactly why by starting the installation using APKMirror.

Split APKs - huh?

App Bundles was announced at Google I/O in mid-2018. The illustrations make it much easier to grasp the concepts, so we recommend you read.

Heres a brief explanation. Developers used app bundles to create a single APK that contained all libraries and resources or they manually managed several APK versions (e.g arm64, 320dpix86, 320dpiarm64,640dpi) before the advent of app bundles. ).

Developers can now transfer variant management to Google with the new App Bundles. Google then divides an app release into several chunks, hence split APKs. A base APK is followed by one or more APK splittings.

For example a single release may now arrive as 5 files: base.apk arm64.split.apk 320dpi.split.apk en-us.lang.split.apk es-es.lang.split.apk.

You cant download all the APK Splits from your phone by tapping on them - only the base APK can be installed. This is because of missing resources.

Okay, so which.apkm files are they?

Bugs and issues

Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco MIUI users

Xiaomi has modified MIUI, and in particular the section of Android used by APKMirror Installer to install split APKs.

You can disable MIUI optimizations from developer settings. This will work around the problem. It should work.
