The app has a MQA Core Decoder since version 5. (In-app purchase necessary). MQA (Master Quality authenticated) is a British award-winning technology which reproduces the sound from the master recording. MQA files are small enough that they can be streamed or downloaded, and also backward-compatible. Many tracks are in MQA on the Tidal streaming site that is supported by USB Audio Player Pro. MQA encoders can be used to unfold MQA streams from 44.1/48kHz up to 88.2/96kHz. It also works with USB DACs which have a MQA renderer, such as iFi / Ztella. AudioQuest DragonFly/iFi/Ztella can further unfold the MQA stream at higher sample rates.
