Important information and instructions:

INSTALLATION Check that your system is compatible with the Substratum themes. The Substratum theme engine application and the Substratum template app are downloaded. Open the Substratum app to find the Substratum theme. It will open and allow you to select the Android version from the menu. Click on the app you wish to theme, and then hit "Install". After all overlays have been installed, reboot.

UPDATING After you have updated your theme from Play Store, you will need to reinstall all overlays the way you originally installed them. After updating the overlays, reboot.

SOLVING A PROBLEM: In the event that an app ceases to work, you will need to install the overlay and restart. Because an overlay must be placed on top of the app, this is necessary. The overlay will not be visible if you download an update to your app via Play Store. Reinstalling the overlay will ensure it's back on top. It is how overlays work. We suggest that you disable auto updates so that your apps are updated when the theme is updated. We usually update once every four days.

ANDROMEDA and SAMSUNG: To make the Andromeda or Samsung theme work, you will need an additional paid plugin. It will be obvious the moment you launch the Substratum app on any of these platforms.

ROOT does not need to be used for Samsung Andromeda, Pixel and Nexus or OMS systems. Root is required for other systems.
