Our fond childhood memories of RTS games on computers inspired us when we set out to create Strange World. That experience was important to us, so we wanted it to be available on mobile devices. We also thought survival games could work well in mobile. Our goal was to create a hybrid game unlike any other on the market. To bridge the gap between mobile and PC, new systems were developed. Our team created dozens of prototypes for RTS controls on mobile. The end result is an intuitive gesture-control mechanic that allows the game to feel like RTS on a phone. The game is a PC-based RTS with simultaneous resource management and battle systems. It also features modern survival elements like item crafting. The end result will be a unique and original mobile game, which we hope will break the mold of existing mobile games genres.
