StopotS, also called Scattergories City Country River (or simply Stop), is a popular categories game. It can be used to create categories such as Names Animals Objects, and many others. After they are defined, players receive a random letter and begin a new round. Each category must be completed by all players using words that start with a random letter. All players who complete all the categories must press STOP! After that, all players are stopped from answering immediately. Voting allows players to review all answers and determine if they are valid. For each accepted answer, 5 points are awarded for repeat answers. There is no penalty for poor answers. The process continues until there is a maximum number of answers.
