To use the Android4.2 app and configure it, you must enable DayDream from the Android display settings. The system will not start the daydream when your display is awake. If you've enabled it before, make sure you disable Keep awake while charging in the Android Developer Settings. Make sure you disable Keep display on while eye contact with is detected (or whatever they call it) in Samsung phones.
