Every turn of the game is a conversation between the hostage-taker and you. To increase the conversation points, decrease threat levels and free hostages, you will play dice and use cards. The Hostage Negotiator hand-building system puts the cards that you buy directly into your hands for the next turn, rather than leaving you guessing when they will appear like deck-building games.
There are many paths to success in Hostage Negotiator, but the hostage-taker has his own plans. You will need to try and calm the hostage taker to get him to give up. Do you wait and watch? Or will you just take your time, allowing the situation to calm down before releasing the hostages. What number of hostages can you spare?
