What is the problem with my device?

Only Android devices that have a fingerprint scanner will work with FingerSecurity. It is possible for your Android device to not work even if it has a fingerprint scanner.

Notification asking for backup password. How do I proceed?

It is an additional security feature that Samsung has added to the system (it's not part of FingerSecurity, but is from Samsung's firmware). If you scan your fingerprint more than once without identifying yourself, the system will ask for your backup password. This backup password was given to you during registration. It might differ from your FingerSecurity password. Otherwise, the fingerprint sensor will not work.

- I can't remember my backup password.

If the system blocks the sensor, there's no way to change the backup password. A hard reset is the only way to resolve this problem.

After updating FingerSecurity, it uses quite a bit of battery.

Restart your device. After that, FingerSecurity should work as normal and battery consumption will decrease.
