Boat Beacon - AIS Navigation Mod Apk
Boat Beacon is specifically designed to be used on water. It also shows all ships around you in a chart. It transmits and receives internet-AIS. The only app to continuously monitor CPA, notifying you if possible collisions have been detected.
The Key Features
------------
Transmits and receives AIS ship information in real time via the internet. A VHF AIS receiver transponder and aerial are not required.
The app uses continuous Closest Point of Approach calculations to detect collisions and alerts boats in danger.
This provides information about bearing and distance to other boats, as well as AIS information such speed course locations name lengths etc. This track shows you the boat's most recent voyage.
You can share your location, speed, course, and destination. You can be followed by others using Boat Beacon, our free app Boat Watch and the top internet AIS systems such as MarineTraffic or Ship Finder. When Transmit is enabled, it works in the background continuously.
You can view the live map with the compass overlay that rotates along with you. This allows you to look at the directions of ships in order to find them. To get 3D perspective, you can tilt the map by moving your fingers up with one hand.

Additional details, including photos, about other ships.
You can search for boats and places using the name of your boat or by MMSI.

AIS Share allows you to share BoatBeacon's live AIS data on your device with other apps such as Navionics. (IAP required)
Boat Beacon allows you to arm all crews participating in races and provides real-time updates about the positions of the teams. You can also watch the race action in Clubhouse on large screens with Boat Beacon's TV/Video Out support
VHF AIS and RTL-SDR with AIS Share App.

Boat Beacon needs internet access in order to function. The majority of popular coastline areas in the US, UK and other countries have access to mobile data (2G or higher) that extends 12 miles or more out to the sea.
Requirements:
Android Smartphone and Tablet with GPS
Internet connection
Boat Beacon is available to all users. If you wish to appear on Global AIS systems such as Marine Traffic Ship Finder or AIS Hub, however, You will require an MMSI number. If you don;t have an MMSI for your boat you can obtain a free one in the US by visiting http://www.boatus.com/mmsi (the USCG approved agent) and using their online form. You can also email us to get a free MMSI number via the internet.
It is important to note that GPS can be running continuously in the background, which could dramatically reduce battery life.
A network of voluntary AIS shore-based stations provides AIS Ship Data. Some regions may not be covered by AIS.
N.B. It is not an AIS transponder. Unless they use the same data source from AIS networks on land, you will not be seen by other ships.
NAVIGATION IS NOT PERMITTED
The program was created in the hopes that you will find it useful. Boat Beacon is intended to be used as a navigational reference, and not for precise location or direction determination.
