Better Open with is one of many Android apps that you can use to save time and avoid the frustrations associated with choosing a default app handler for each file type. Better Open With displays a similar screen to Android's standard Complete action using dialog. It allows you to select to open any filetype, including images and PDFs.

The difference is that the popup dialog only appears for 5 seconds (default but configurable) and you can choose an app handler to allow you to select your favorite app.

You can wait for the preferred app handler (no clicking required) to launch, or you may choose another app. You can simply set Better Open with as the default handler of file types you wish and it will do all the work.

Better open With is useful if you:

You can switch browsers, but you usually only have one favorite app.

You prefer to use one app for PDF photos, but you may sometimes need another to edit the files.

You don't always want the video link to be opened with a player. But sometimes, you might want them to open with an app that allows you to download and possibly Chromecast.

Better Open with is totally free, and there are no advertisements! You don't need permission!

* sort apps in list (alphabetical-default manual chronological)

* Create sessions that allow you to select a temporary app of your choice (for the next X clicks and next X minutes).
